Does the world need another job board?
We think so.
If you look at the job board landscape, it has become crowded with aggregators that lack focus and let’s face it, the personal touch. Sure, it’s great to have a site with millions of listings across every job category out there with some fancy AI use case, but we think there is a better and simpler way.
Plus, with a lot of these sites, you have to question the legitimacy of some of the postings. Does the employer even know that their job is on this site or is the job still open?
Why Just Product Management Jobs?
Andrew Parker, a VC from Spero Ventures and previously at Spark Capital, wrote a blog post a while ago about the unbundling of Craig’s List and the several companies that were born by carving out a niche from a category on Craig’s List. It included lots of companies that have achieved massive scale like Airbnb, Etsy, StubHub, and many others.
Our hypothesis is that the same needs to happen for job boards. It’s time to unbundle the massive job boards like Indeed, LinkedIn, etc. and carve out a niche where all job listings are incredibly relevant and the site includes a sense of community through high value blog content.
Our goal for Just Product Management Jobs is simple: to build the world’s most targeted website focused on the Product Management profession, as we believe it is an underserved sector.
It is a sector that is limited in terms of the number of resources that are available out there. Plus, we have a strong history and appreciation for the Product Management professional (more about that further below).
